Design and integration
We design, specify, install, and integrate residential technologies directly or alongside existing integrators, builders, architects, lighting designers, HVAC professionals, plumbers, electricians, and manufacturers.
Many residential systems show what is happening right now, but preserve little of the history needed to understand performance over time. 6Bridges collects operating data that might otherwise disappear, connects it across systems, and helps homeowners and residential professionals ask—and answer—better questions.
Capture operating data that would otherwise disappear.
Build a long-term record across days, seasons, and equipment changes.
Bring together systems, events, conditions, and context.
Reveal patterns, relationships, and what actually happened.
Test ideas and measure the effect of changes over time.
Use evidence to make better decisions and discover the next question.
6Bridges Control Systems works with the technologies that make homes function: lighting, HVAC, water, energy, networking, security, audio/video, automation, monitoring, and more. Our difference is that we do not treat commissioning as the end of the story.
We design, specify, install, and integrate residential technologies directly or alongside existing integrators, builders, architects, lighting designers, HVAC professionals, plumbers, electricians, and manufacturers.
Where a system exposes useful status, measurements, events, APIs, or control interfaces, we can create the monitor and historical record needed for meaningful analysis later.
We connect data across systems, add context, investigate changes, and help people answer not only whether equipment is operating—but whether the home is achieving the outcomes that matter.
Many residential systems are excellent at showing what is happening now and triggering automations from current state. But they may preserve little history, retain it only briefly, aggregate it too heavily, or keep it isolated inside a vendor application.
Without a durable historical record, you cannot reliably compare seasons, measure before-and-after performance, understand what changed before a problem, or examine how one system influenced another.
A plumber, HVAC contractor, electrician, lighting professional, or integrator may correctly install and commission equipment. But the homeowner experiences one whole home. Comfort, energy, water, air quality, resilience, and convenience depend on systems interacting over time and consuming shared resources.
6Bridges helps professionals move beyond “my part is operating” toward a stronger question: Is the home achieving the intended outcome, within the constraints that matter to the homeowner?
These categories establish the work we actively perform and the domains in which we partner with manufacturers and residential professionals. They are examples—not a fixed ceiling. Cortex can expand whenever another system exposes useful data, events, or control.
Interior, exterior, and landscape lighting; fixtures, dimming, keypads, scenes, sensing, transformers, and control integration.
Heating, cooling, ventilation, humidity, indoor air quality, controls, operating behavior, and performance analysis.
Water heating, recirculation, treatment, pumps, leak detection, storage, usage, and whole-home water behavior.
Solar, batteries, generators, power monitoring, electrical loads, EV charging, resilience, and energy performance.
Reliable infrastructure, Wi-Fi, security, communications, audio/video, automation platforms, and system interfaces.
Custom monitors, historical data logging, dashboards, alerts, cross-system correlation, annotations, and structured investigations.
Cortex complements established automation and control platforms. It provides the monitoring, historical record, cross-system context, and analytical foundation needed to understand how a home performs over time.
The initial version of 6Bridges Cortex has already been developed and is in active use. It is built around the same architecture used across our monitoring systems: dedicated monitors collect data from each available source, preserve it, and make it available for dashboards, alerts, cross-system analysis, and future questions.
Cortex is designed to support questions that isolated systems cannot answer:
Planned annotation and study capabilities will allow users and professionals to define what they are trying to learn, mark meaningful changes, observe the relevant data over time, and evaluate the result in plain language.
Cortex is being developed as a platform that residential technology integrators and other qualified professionals can license, configure, and support for their own clients.
It can help create valuable ongoing services after installation: continuous commissioning, performance reviews, structured investigations, optimization, and long-term advisory relationships—not low-value truck rolls.
Partners may customize Cortex themselves, engage 6Bridges to perform the customization, or combine both approaches.
Homeowners invest in systems to achieve outcomes. Professionals need practical ways to demonstrate those outcomes, understand interactions with the rest of the home, and continue providing high-value expertise over time.
Build a durable understanding of how the home operates, how systems interact, what changed, and which questions are worth exploring next.
License Cortex for existing and future clients, differentiate your business, expand projects over time, and create recurring advisory services that provide genuine value.
Extend commissioning beyond installation day, validate long-term performance, understand cross-system effects, reduce blind callbacks, and show clients whether the intended outcome was achieved.
